Douglas has a wide experience in computing science and software engineering. He has solved problems in computer vision, distributed systems, compilers, soft real-time systems, and databases. He discovered Haskell in 2015 and has been using it wherever he can ever since. Douglas is a contributor to GHC, most interested in improving performance in both the compiler and the runtime system. Douglas holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Auckland.
