After having worked in electrical engineering for a while Andreas decided to get another education and make a career out of his interest in programming.
During his undergrad in Software Engineering he stumbled onto Haskell. With an interest in compilation he soon started to dive into GHC becoming a contributor after a short while.
These days he has an interest in making lower-level optimizations accessible to the compiler and users alike, improving GHC’s code generation in the process.
