Zubin discovered Haskell while in high school, searching for a better way to write programs after getting frustrated with Python and Java. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science as an undergraduate and completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Chennai Mathematical Institute. During that time, he developed an interest in compilers, program analysis, software verification, computer-aided theorem proving and type systems.
He has been a contributor to GHC and various incarnations of the Haskell IDE projects starting with Haskell IDE Engine as a Haskell Summer of Code participant in 2017 and continued being involved in the development of ghcide and Haskell Language Server.
